Benevolent Aged Care Ltd is a community owned, not-for-profit provider of aged care services, located in Rockhampton, Central Queensland.
Benevolent Aged Care Ltd operates Benevolent Living a 132 room residential aged care facility, and is expanding into Retirement Living with a new, purpose built, vertical independent living unit development, which is scheduled to open late 2023, Benevolent On West.
About The Role
We are seeking a board member with legal expertise (those with experience in the Aged Care and Retirement Living sectors will be considered favourably) to complement our board’s existing skill set.
This is a remunerated position with remuneration beginning at $15,000 per year.
Our Board meets 8 times a year and has 4 Sub-Committees which provide oversight of the high risk areas in our organisation – Finance; Governance and Risk, Clinical Governance; Development and Facilities Committees.
Ideally you will have:
Extensive legal experience – preferably within the Aged Care or Retirement Living sector.
Experience in leadership and strategic planning.
A passion to contribute to our growth and sustainability.
Experience in the Aged Care or Retirement Living industry highly regarded.
Corporate Governance skills (AICD grad. highly regarded).
Criminal history, NDIS & insolvency checks apply.
